State of Emergency Summer School
Desert Crossings
Film by Kathryn Brillhart which follows delivery of a three week dance summer school at Ramon C Cortinez College in Downtown, Los Angeles. Includes interviews with choreographers and students, and an overview by SOE's Artistic Director, Deborah Baddoo MBE.
Dance For Life
"Dance for Life" was a commission for new composition, produced by State of Emergency and funded by Arts Council England. The featured artist is jazz legend Clifford Jarvis (drums), and the dancers are Deborah Baddoo, Ellen Miller, Winston Grant and Suzette Roca.
This film examines the origin of the piece, and focuses on the R&D phase. The dancers are Sade Alleyne, Johnny Autin, Keisha Grant, Lerato Lipere and Nicola Monaco. Choreography: Gregory Maqoma; Music: Steve Marshall. The film is by Barry Lewis and Emil Charlaf.

'Coleridge Unbound'
Films from our 'Coleridge Unbound' project funded by Arts Council England and featuring dancers Michael Joseph, Deborah Baddoo, Bawren Tavaziva and Kay Crook. 'Coleridge Unbound' is inspired by the abolitionist stance of poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge and includes an outdoor site specific performance at Alfoxton House, Somerset.
